I want to dye my hair back to black. I just got blonde and red highlights in my hair 2 days ago. I don't really like it but i can live with it for six weeks i guess. anyway ive dyed my hair blonde before and i really liked it the first time and i had it in my hair for 5 months. but then i got sick of the blonde and i bought some black hair dye from sallys and dyed my hair black. ive had it black for 10 months and it was fine. but when i went back to the salon to get my hair rehighlighted again she said that the black hair dye was just sitting on top of my blonde. i didn't really understand. she then bleached my hair and put blonde and red highlights in it. I really don't like it becuz my hair looks kind of fried or something. So i was thinking. If i wait six weeks can i just go to sally's and buy black hair dye and just have my hair black again? or would that mess my hair up?? i really don't know and i have the feeling that the salon lady i go to just tells me things about my hair so i can pay her even more money. oh yeah i have african american hair. and i don't have a relaxer. Do you think my hair will fall out if i keep dying it? cuz it kinda started breaking when i dyed it blonde the first time then when i dyed it back to black it stopped breaking. but now that its blonde again i feel like its going to break! so will dying it back to black in six weeks with store bought hair dye mess it up?? help!!
