and I...? ...don't want that what now??
Basically, if I'm an IC (Independent Contractor) I will get taxed like crazy and I want to avoid being taxed like that. I just want to charge a few bucks per picture so I can keep going at it and the photo site that I use told me they can only send me an 1099 if I make over $600 a year and I will. I don't consider myself a professional photographer, but the photo site does. So, they have to pay me cause my customers are paying them. What in the heck can I do to avoid all of this and not have to pay taxes cause I'm not a professional photographer just someone who likes to take pictures, but just wants to cover my cost of taking pictures that's it. I only do it for some friends and they want to pay me for it and I want to get paid, but not like this or with this photo site. What can I do? Anyone? Thanks.
