I want to by the T- Mobile my touch slide for AT&T, do I still have to pay for a data...

...plan? I am currently a AT&T customer, I am probably going to buy the T-Mobile my touch slide unlocked on eBay (I don't really care if i can use the 3G, edge is fine), AT&T usually require a 30.00/month data plan for all there smart-phones, my question is can I use the unlocked T- Mobile my touch slide and use only the wi-fi on it or will AT&T require me to purchase the 30/month data plan?
Also right now I do not have a data, would I be able to select att's 15/month unlimited data plan or will they catch me and make me choose the 30/month smartphone data plan.
 
with out going any further, the phone it's self requires an internet connection, but as you said, you will be on wifi so thats taken care of, sort of, coz you will not be able to use some of the great features that require data when you are out or wifi range, like navigation. so you might as well get the plan. next, since you are already with at&t, you have no need to change your plan or what ever, just swap your sim card and you will be good to go. good luck.
