I want to buy subs or kickers for my car and an amp....?

But I know nothing at all about bass and all that stuff for cars. I know subs are what most people to get but I don't know what type, how many wats, or any of that stuff. I'll also need to buy an amp. But I don't know anything about either of these things, so a little bit of help would be greatly appreciated. But I drive a Mazda 626 so it's a smaller car....though my trunk is pretty big. I'm also trying to stay in the 1000-1500 dollar price range. Any suggestions?
 
You can get a s**tload of bass for under 1000$...

Just go down to your local car audio dealer, they'll have some stuff set up you can listen to and decide.

Depending on how much bass you want, one 10" sub around 500 watts RMS would probably suit you.

If you're looking to shake the bolts loose on your car.. 1000$ will do it.
