priced it at $11,000. HELP ME? How do I get what I want here? I like this car. I have zero experience with buying a car through a dealership. I am 24, I should know better!!

KBB IS JUST A GUIDE. YOU ALMOST NEVER PAY THAT PRICE. SOMETIMES IT'S HIGHER OR LOWER. SHOP AROUND OR TRY TO NEGOTIATE WITH THEM. PLUS USUALLY DEALERSHIPS OFFER EXTRAS LIKE A WARRENTY AND FREE OIL CHANGES. NOT TO MENTION A MANDATORY 90 DAY FEDERAL WARRENTY THAT THEY HAVE TO COVER IF ANYTHING HAPPENS IN THE FIRST THREE MONTHS.

Forget the kbb site - it is not as helpful to you or anyone that is looking to purchase a vehicle; look instead at www.edmunds.com - they have info for the prices that dealers pay, including all options listed separately, and what a buyer should be paying. There is also info on reliability for almost any vehicle, and trade in pricing. The trade in vehicle, by the way, should not be discussed until after the price is settled on the vehicle being purchased first

In order to get what you want you need to find a car from a different seller.

There are probably several Rav 4s for sale in your area, find someone else who is selling the same vehicle at a more reasonable price. There is no reason in the world why you should have to deal with an idiot who thinks his cars are worth more than they really are.

Walk away. That's the only way to deal with an unreasonable seller.
