Steven started with good advice: fruits and veggies are often overlooked as important to muscle building (of course you need protein too but most people get plenty of protein but lack the vitamins and nutrients needed to utilize that protein).

If you eat a good balanced diet then no suppliments are needed (and that will save you money as well as being in better overall health).

However I would NOT recommend skipping the stretching. You should stretch before and after a workout. Unlike popular myth, you can indeed be both muscular and flexible and it not only improves your range of motion, athletic performance and agility, regular stretching will greatly reduce your chances of injury.

If you want torn muscles and tendons and aching joints that's your choice - I prefer not.

Using steroids for looks is just plain stupid.

fruits, veggies - food pyramid pretty much.. just google a diet that would be good (or buy a mens health mag or something to reasearch these things.)

i would buy a multivitamin

supplements i would buy would be - whey protein, creatine, and no-xplode

but you should always do heavy weight and if you can do multiple reps go up in weight.. also dont stretch before a workout.

stuff like this should put you on the right track just do your research and you'll find what you need.
