call cricket corp. 858.882.9999 theres an option for you to follow. Or go to your local Corp. store and ask the manager there to get you in touch with the local admin. office. Cricket will want you to have about 5K and I don't think that covers your end like computers and rental space, I could be wrong about this last part though.

you really need about 10k to cover remodel and start up expense, plus cash to purchase phones with. it's an expensive business to get into, but you'll make a killing off it.

What does that mean? 10K to start up?? What is that going to get you?? Try this list:

Lawyer & Accountant (are you going to be a LLC, Inc, or just a DBA)
Store (might need a deposit plus first months rent)
Remodel (you will need paint, lights, carpet)
Signs (channel letter signs are anywhere from 2-3K)
Advertising (u need this to let people know where you are)
Computers & Software (you will probably want a Point of sale system and accounting software--Quickbooks)
Inventory (BrightPoint requires you to have excellent credit in order to get a line, if you can't get a line, hope you got a credit card with a high limit)

If you want to do it right, you are looking at a minium of $50K in order to be sucessful. Guys that say 10K have crappy stores and live paycheck to paycheck. You can bet the farm on that--I spend good money on my stores, advertising and employees. That is why I am usually #1 in any cell phone carrier that I have carried.

you've said it.....

These stores in syracuse are a joke. Only 2 or 3 dealers have stores that are notable as a good functioning stores around me. Over half of them pay under the table, what are you going to do when you want to claim ss or you become sick, no benefits no nothing. Your screwed. Some of these dealers all want to run the business all with family and avoid taxes, etc.....it will bite them in the a$$ later on

Actually the 5-10k is what cricket requires you to have in the bank. How you set up your store and advertising is your business. And Cooden are you the guy from the rochester dealer meeting that was awful cocky and stated you would out sell anyone in the room? pretty bold statement.

Yeah I am the guy from rochester, but when did I say I would outsell anyone in the room? And what meeting is this you are talking about? And how was I cocky? Listen, I seem to have a bunch of dealers from Syracuse that are sweating me and my stores pretty hard. I will be cocky about this though, I hold recorRAB for Nextel & Helio. I have ALWAYS been in the top 3 no matter what month or what carrier I am selling. So something I am doing must be working. And I seem to have happy customers that love my stores and my employees. I was giving the guy some advice on opening a store. If you like the look of crappy ghetto stores, then go ahead and make one. If you want something that is professional and nice looking, then follow my advice.

Sorry i don't run a "ghetto store". Being in business for 12 years says something in itself, Sprint wanting me to open two additional stores for them by years end also says something. I begrudge no ones success, I however cannot speak for the rest of the dealers here. I do however do not like to be insulted by someone who has no idea of my success and prosperity.

cooden, phelonius stores are very nice and proffesional. Such stores as _____ in syracuse are pretty thrown together. Ever heard of inverntory and POS system?

Jammis don't waste your time with this ingrate. His statement up there would indicate he has been in every store in the U.S. to have the info that "every store has them" in regarRAB to a POS system

Ah ok lol. I got hook ups everywhere and most of the stores ive been into have been really nice. But there are alot of smaller kiosks and swap meet stores here too.
