You want to major in Adolescence Education major (some schools call this a Secondary Education major, but it's the same thing). With this major you will be asked to concentrate in something, and you can concentrate in the area of History. In most colleges this is one major (education + concentration) and you will probably not get a major in History, although some schools may let your double major in this. I am going for Adol. Edu with a concentration in English and am also majoring in English. You will take 4 years of school, and do practicum (sitting in classroom of assigned school for a certain number of hours and taking notes) and student teaching, lesson planning, etc. You can go to any college really for teaching. I live i NY so I go to a state school since they have good programs for Education majors. You must take a test to get your teaching certification, so before you choose a school, figure out which state you want that degree for. Ex: my friend from NY is going to school in Delaware and has to take an extra test for NY state certification, since each state has diff. requirements. Good luck!
