...I need advice? It's a 1995 Toyota
and for the past 2 years, the battery would die during the winter or on cold days.
It would have to be jumpstarted once or twice.
Sometimes it has a hard start nowadays, and the weather is around 30 degrees now in Michigan.
I just had my car serviced, everything looks fine. However, my car is always maintained and a new battery was placed in last year.
I have a battery kill switch installed on my car by a mechanic because my battery started constantly dying from an electrical light drain, that was fixed, a door was fixed, but to fix the cold issue, the kill switch is there. What if I use the kill switch when I don't drive my car for more than 2 days, would my battery turn on if I turn off the kill switch? I know that freeway driving (long periods) restores full charge. But sometimes during Christmas break I don't have to drive. I'm worried my battery will die when I turn the kill switch on.
