I want to ask people about starting home based businesses?

I just want people to let me know about their experiences with starting and maintaining a home based business, in particular an internet business or network marketing business. Did you find it tough to be motivated when things didn't work out the way you thought? Who did you talk to for mentorship and support when things were tough. How long and how much work did you spend on it till you made serious money from it to quit your job or not have to worry about money. I'm have been trying to make money through an internet business from websites though they have not been bringing in any income. Iam on benefits and iam worried i have to go out to find work to support my various investments be it through internet marketing and investing education. I have been out of work for a while and need the motivation purpose and desire to step out of my comfort zone to start working again. Any ideas/ suggestions/ opportunities would be much appreciated.
