i want a toyota tacoma for under $3000?

You will not find a running Tacoma for under $3,000.
Won't happen.
You can find a pre '95 Truck (what they were called before the Tacoma) for under $3,000 but it won't be pretty and it might need some work.
You might find a 2WD beater that needs a lot of work for under $3,000. But if you want a 4x4 it's going to have a salvaged title. If it's running. Most likely if you do find something that cheap it'll get snapped up fast by guys who want a Trail Rig.
Craigslist.org and Autotrader.com are your two best options for finding something cheap though.
