i want a sporty car like a Ford probe, but that has better gas milage. any ideas?

i saw an awesome Probe on craigslist for only $3000. the only problem was, was that mpg in the city was about 18, and 21 highway. i really like the badass look off that car
but is there any other sporty looking cars that have better gas milege and that might be around $3000-$5000 on craigslist? (i know you wont know this part, but thats where im going to look when i get ideas)
