i want a new pet that is able to live in my fish tank?

Preferably aquatic most of the time, i do not want a newt or other amphibians that are mostly nocturnal. i have looked at yellow belly sliders however im afraid that they would get stuck in the rockwork and drown. i dont want frogs or toads. are there any other ideas for pets? have u owned anything interesting along these lines.

Depends how big the tank is.
How about snails beware they breed like crazy

Get a Puffer fish they are cute, cool and very relaxing to watch

what i did was when all my fish died in my fish tank i got a lizard and put it in there

Friend of a friend kept a hermit crab for years in a fish tank.

I don't know how easy they are to get a hold of but caecilians are cool (they are amphibians).

Otherwise a turtle or salamander? Or full aquatic like cool fish, eels, etc.
