Not really. Government has their hand in banking, car manufacturing and expanded their role in health insurance. No good can come from any of those.

The problem with the whole aspect of health care to me, is it's pretty much another step into a government welfare state.. How many people are on unemployment / disability when they don't really need to be... Be honest.. Same with food stamps. People walking into the county building to get their WIC cards, while talking on their new iPhone. It's retarded. I understand that some people need help, but it's frustrating knowing that most people who say they can't afford health care also have a 2k tv in their living rooms. They've got a newer car. They've got the newest phone and go to concerts and movies.

If you don't want to spend your 300 a month to protect yourself, why should I cover the tab?

It just seems with everything done to "help people" it actually hurts them and cripples them to actually go out and do it on their own..

I agree, that is a huge problem. But I would take that problem over having to stand in line to get food from a soup kitchen because the economy collapsed.

There is tons of places where we can save money if we cut spending. We can start with the military.
 
I generally like the way he's been handling things. Disappointed with healthcare but otherwise I like his domestic agenda. Foreign policy wise he is miles ahead of Bush.

well, the alternative was to not have a banking industry or a car manufacturing industry. as far as health insurance, the bill they passed is shit. It didnt do nearly enough. No public option, no care.
