The light was flashing when I was charging it for the first time. I know it said not to turn it on for the first time until charging it, but I have done this before with previous cameras/camcorders, and I had no problem!! I would love to get an answer so I do not have to pay $30 for a new battery with shipping...thanks for any help!!!
