For around 6 months or more I've been talking to this really nice guy who lives about 20 minutes outside of the city. On Wednesday he asked me to meet him at the mall for the first time. He was bringing a friend and I was bringing two. He said he was okay with that.
Previously he mentioned he had met people before and that he wasn't nervous. I told him I was scared and nervous and he said everything would be okay.
So me and my friends were in the mall and he texted me to tell me where he was. We slowly made our way there (I was nervous and stalling). We entered the store (a tiny one) and I was really scared. I saw the guy there with his friend. Me and my friends stood around for about 30-45 minutes and the guy never came over to talk to me. He knows who I am because we have each other on FB and I even went on cam once. My friends said he was looking but never came over.
Eventually I left and texted him and asked what happened. He said he was sorry and that he got nervous and knew he pulled a dick move. Then I never said anything back.
Today I texted him and apologized and he apologized too and he said that hopefully next time will go smoother.
What do you guys think about this? Do you think he really was nervous? What should I do next time to make sure the meeting goes better? Keep in mind I'm really shy and I kind of like him a lot.
