I took my 2006 car to a dealership to have warranty work performed. While out on a test drive, the technician wrecked my car. I don't believe it is totalled but has extensive frame, suspension and engine damage. What should I do? I have a year left on my lease but I don't want to pay for or drive a wrecked car.

I have had to address this one. I had to replace the car.. My insurance (business) took care of it.
The dealer probably has a sign that says not responsible. But the small print says they are if Negligent and an accident is negligence in it's purest form. The dealer is totally responsible for paying off the lease as well as any other charges the leasing company throws at you. You can not drive a vehicle that has frame damage that car will be deemed totaled and a salvage vehicle. Tell the dealer to cut their losses get you a rental and when they figure it out get you a new car. plain and simple..

Wow that really sucks, sorry to hear it! They need to compensate you for this. I'm sure they must have some sort of coverage for this type of incident.

I'd turn it over to the insurance company. THat's what it's for right? It should cover another person driving. DId they file a police report about the accident? You will most definitely need that.

sew him if you have a good case you can get a estimate on the repair bill and at least get the money for it from him.
