I thought that only Fox News was biased?

Here's the deal: media outlets are neither conservative nor liberal for the most part. They are corporatist. They are owned by large corporations, the ownership of which is usually conservative, but their programming is decided by (a) shareholder profits and (b) high ratings. Therefore, they choose stories based on sensationalism so they will get the highest ratings. They do not have a political philosophy. Having said that, Fox is obviously more conservative to get ratings and MSNBC is obviously more liberal to get ratings. But they are all motivated by making money. Rupert Murdoch would change Fox to a liberal network tomorrow if he thought he would make a lot more money.

The other thing most people on this site don't seem to understand is the difference between news and commentary. Most of Fox's programming is commentary, even though they call themselves "Fox News." On other networks, they make a distinction. For instance, the evening news on all the networks is news. Keith Olbermann, Bill O'Reilly, Hannity, Maddow--those are commentary. Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper are usually all news unless they tell you it's commentary.

Fox might lean toward the right, but practically every other station on TV is liberally biased. If you want to form a decent opinion, then watch a little bit of both. Then, you can form an opinion based on what you think and feel.

Too many people in this country hop on the bandwagon without knowing what it stands for. That's a dangerous piece of propaganda.
