I thought that only Fox News was biased?

I was thinking of this last night. Everyone always says that Fox is the only biased news station. I agree that Fox News leans toward the right.
I've tried to watch MSNBC, CNN, NBC, ABC, and every other station and in some cases, I find their reports to be dead on. However, in most cases I usually find myself enraged by the way they report certain events that would make republicans looks bad and omit certain facts that would make Republicans look good.
So here's my question. When someone claims that mainstream media isn't biased toward the left, then why do I not agree with their reporting style and 'facts'? I mean, you can't just say that these channels are fair and balanced because you agree with them. The fact that I don't agree with them proves that they're biased toward a different political group right? Or is it just that everything that's liberal is fair and balanced and everything that's conservative is part of the right wing hate machine? Can someone explain?
Yeah ME., obviously you'd have problems explaining in words I can understand. I could barely understand THAT sentence.
 
The travesty is that even on the AP wire now it is getting increasingly more difficult to get a Joe Friday "just the facts" story.

This is a condescending form of manipulation through the entire media.

Give me the facts and I wil form opinion..but they want the opinion formed first anymore. That goes for all of them.
 
You ate obviously biased, and so I can't explain this in words that you will understand.
 
I agree that they are all biased to a certain extent. Even my beloved NPR. But that's why it's good to use different sources and then try and use your own judgement to make some sense of it all. Having said that, FOX News is one of the most blatantly biased sources ever. There is no credibility to be found there for someone wanting facts.
 
anyone who doesn't see CNN as biased needs to be shot with a dose of reality.

there is a reason why both moderates and conservatives call it the communist news network.
 
Im a Republican and I can honestly say that yes Fox is biased, but the rest of the news channels, MSNBC, CNN etc are biased as well, its just because Fox is the only conservative-biased channel the rest are staunchly liberal, sometimes ABC is kind of down the middle from my observations, but so can Fox, MSNBC is the most biased channel in America though in my opinion
 
I've never said any station you mentioned isn't biased. I know me saying that over the internet is almost meaningless, but nonetheless.

All mainstream media is biased. Our Government has given freedom of the press away from the editors/journalists of a paper, and producers/newscasters of a Television station and handed it over to the enormous corporations that own the station. I doubt Brit Hume believes what he's saying, and I doubt Brian Williams does, they are a proxy for the owners of their station. I seriously doubt any person on these stations believes everything they say. They may believe some of it, but not all of it.

Public radio and television news broadcasts are the only fair newcasts I've heard recently. Jim Lehrer tries very hard to deliver every broadcast of his show with no emotion in his voice at all, which is the most admirable thing a radio, or television journalist/broadcaster can do.
 
Well, the world tends to lean towards the left. Talk to the wealthiest people, the wisest, our education system based on facts and not ideologies, the other civilized countries, ...

The world isn't "on the left" ... it is centrist ... and by definition very much to the left comparing to the minority of right wingers

Therefore if you watch any news program on TV, they will be NORMAL, not biased. Just normal. Fox News is the biased one
 
You couldn't be news reporter without developing some sorts of biased. ITs pretty hard to simply see everything that goes on in the world and not develop an opinion.

That being said, how many times has Fox News shown Obama's name spelled Osama or gone out of its way to be biased.

If you expect completely unbiased coverage your expectation is unreasonable, but Fox crosses a lot of lines and really has become little more than a tabloid.
 
People don't say that it's the ONLY biased news station. The charge is that Fox has a tagline which suggests that it has no bias, but the reality is far from its tagline.

If you want a more balanced opinion, read diverse news sources.
 
Fox News is just the only network that isn't completely in the tank for Obama and the Democrats.
Liberals hate that as they're not interested in free speech or fair discourse. They're interested in silencing their opponents, fairly or unfairly.

It further eats them up that Fox New consistently trounces its competitors.
 
By the expression on you face and the fact you need to wave a flag to prove your patriotism I would say just because you think something is a certain way is most defiantly a biased opinion.

According to them if you are the least bit liberal you HATE AMERICA!!!

Listen to NPR for truly fair and balanced news. FN, MSNBC, CNN, are all just propaganda.
 
Oh Liberals News Media is very fair and balanced towards Obama. They are afraid to say anything against him now that they got him elected.
