Thats what liberals will claim on Y!A anyway.

In an attempt to appeal for more education funding in the state budget, Lee County Schools stepped over the line, a lawmaker said Monday.

Rep. Mike Stone, R-Lee, said school district officials had his 8-year-old daughter's third-grade class at Tramway Elementary School write letters to elected officials, including him, to protest cuts in the proposed $19.7 billion state budget.

"I was extremely disappointed, but I tried not to show that in front of my daughter," Stone said. "I don't know that at any time we should use our third-grade students as lobbyists."

You should see it here in NY state...where we have a relatively conservative Democrat as governor, in Andrew Cuomo, and he has proposed a cap on our state property tax...which by the way is among the highest in the nation (where I live in the Western part of the state, it is between $30 and $60 per thousand depending on the town you live in...meaning a $100,000 house, which is pretty small, would have in between $3,000 and $6,000 a year in property tax). Well, the teachers unions are having a fit and advertising all this crap all over to call in to your representative and protest the cap.

Okay...we are getting taxed to death, and we should PROTEST a tax CUT? Huh? Gee, you think maybe the liberal unions are worried about losing some of their power and influence when teachers salaries and benefits (which are among the highest in the country) get inevitably cut? The public schools here are a joke, and obviously throwing money at them for decades has only made matters worse...it has made them more irresponsible and more greedy.

They are more concerned here with teaching kids about Tango the gay penguin, and how the USSR wasn't really evil, just misunderstood, than actually being responsible and teaching our children anything worth while. Then you have people like the Superintendent of Buffalo schools publicly announce his resignation and that his replacement should be black like he is...and this is apparently okay. Can you imagine if a white guy said something like that...that his replacement should be white because a white person would "understand the culture" of the district better? It is out of control here, all thanks to liberalism gone wild.
 
Wow, I see it now too! The brazen indoctrination!

Instead of spending money to mail all those letters, that little girl could have just taken them all home and delivered them to her daddy for free!

Gee, will liberals ever stop spending other peoples' money?
