I Thought Existential Angst Ended in High School.

The only part of your post I feel qualified to comment on is your personal life. How would I be qualified, you might ask? I'm seemingly a total stranger to you. Having gone through many angsty times with people in life, I believe I'm now a quasi-expert on the matters of personal relationships, familial and romantic.

Parents - need to get your mother out of the picture. Maybe write her an angry letter stating how stupid she is for chasing up your dad for 'child support'.
Girlfriend - need to tell her what you expect out of your relationship. And if she doesn't think she loves you she may as well leave. Even though you may have strong feelings for her, there's no point in staying in an unhappy relationship. Being with someone who doesn't want to be with you is more lonely than being alone.

I hope I didn't sound like a complete douchebag, even though that's what I was kind of going for. People really grind my gears.

I totally know how you feel in relation to the situation with your girlfriend. I myself feel the same way about this guy but I can't seem to do anything about it. Fortunately my parents are still together but I can see how this would be very upsetting and stressful for you.
