I think my fish is upset.?

I have a Crowntail Betta and he has been around for a few months. I decided to get another betta because I'm extremely entertained by fish.
When I brought the other home, I set him by the Crowntail so they could get acquainted while I set up the other home and Oscar, the Crowntail, just stared at him like "what is that?"

Since then, Oscar has wanted nothing to do with anyone. He's active, he eats, but he turns around or swims away or cuddles up in his barrel when we come up to play or talk to him. We thought he was having jealousy issues, so we moved the bowls apart and put flowers between them so Oscar wouldn't have to look at the other one. He hung around the flowers often when they were there before, so we thought it would be a good try. We moved the flowers and put them closer together so he could assert his title of number one fish, but he's still acting like he's upset with us.
The other fish is pretty much an attentionwhore and he's about 1/3 the size of Oscar.
We have some marbles and another plant to brighten Oscar's bowl too.
All of this has taken place in the last week, and we are going to get an aquarium cleaner and bottled water in case the filtered isn't enough.

I'm lookin' at him now and he's flappin' his fins and swimmin' around and interacting with his giant plant.. >.>

Can anyone help? It's appreciated.
Can't, the breakfast bar is the only sturdy place in the house.
