I think my fish ate my snails?

Help me plz!

I used to have two black moor fish that grew up fat in a small aquarium. I also had an algae eating fish in there. Later on I added two snails into the tank. every time I would put the light on, I would find the the algae eater on top of a snail, a black moor fish on top of the algae eater. They would all freeze and stare at me and then get back to thier business. I would turn the light off and back on and the same thing happened! Later on, I went to clean out the tank and the snail wasnt inside its shell. I would see the two moor fish playing soccer with it. DO YOU THINK THEY ATE MY SNAILS????

Yes. The fish ate your snails, love. I'm so sorry for your loss.
 
yes if they are acting abusive to it then that means if it is gonna be gone in the next 5 minutes
 
they probably did
im sure my mom's fish ate our snail too
he was floating shell up
if they're agressive they might have- they killed our gourami they attacked him, so i think the snail might have been killed- probably like yours
were they picking at the meat

Lol! They sure know how to amuse themselves when you're not looking! I think your snails may have been eaten, sorry :(
 
Algae eaters, loaches, goldfish, and cichlids all find snails to be quite a tasty treat. Next time, check the compatibility of your potential fish before putting them in a tank. Sorry about your snails! =)
