I think it's time for the Ghostbusters to make a huge comeback

Aren't Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, Ernie Hudson and Harold Ramis like in their 50s now? Unless is was like that short-lived syndicated 2000 series Extreme Ghostbusters, where the premise was training a new team of Ghostbusters, I honestly don't see how another movie could work.

Or did you mean the animated Real Ghostbusters? I don't really see what else they could do with that either.

If Harrison Ford can do a physically more demading role in his 60s, I dont see why those guys couldn't, from a physical stand point.

As long as we don't have anymore Ghostbusters in wheelchairs, for the sake of "diversity", I could live with it.

How do you know he can? Frankly, I'm dreading the new Indiana Jones movie. I'm half-expecting Ford to be like Charles Bronson in the last few Death Wish movies, with his stunt double having more screen time than he does. For Ghostbusters, let's stick with animation. No matter how old the original cast may be, they can still do the voices.

A new cast I could see, but the new actors shouldn't be playing the original characters. IMHO, No one else should play Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spangler or Winston Zedmore as long as Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson are able to.

Well I can see Harrison still going, but back to the point, The Ghostbusters weren't anywhere near as physically demanding roles as Indy is. And something tells me that Murray and Ackroyd would think of being to above being VO's.

I don't know...Bill didn't seem to have a problem with voicing Garfield for 2 movies; I don't see why he'd turn down the role of Peter Venkman, a character he made famous.

Anyway, if the movie actors feel they're too big to do VOs, they could always get the voice actors from the cartoon series. Frank Welker and Maurice LaMarche do voice work all the time; this would just be another paycheck for them, and I'm sure Arsenio Hall and Dave Coulier would take time out of their 'busy schedules' to take part.

I just want this series out of limbo, it just drives me mad to see it wasted. I would not ever mind a remake of the filmanimation verison given a good writeing crew.
