Can anyone help me I am trying to find a film.

Its similar to the start of 28 days later where this guy wakes up with no one left on the planet (no zombies in this one) and has a journey meets a couple of people on the way (a women and a black man)

I think the reason they survived is because they were in the middle of committing suidcide or something along those lines.

Cant really remember much else, just remember watching it on BBC2 years ago.

Cheers

I watched this movie a couple of months ago.

The protagonist is a black man, thinking he's the last man on Earth.

He later meets a white woman, and then another man (white, love rival).

He also has an imaginary butler called Snodgrass (really just a mannequin).

The movie is intended to tackle issues of race, but in that respect - it's a real copout at the end IIRC, but it was made around half a century ago.

It is a really enjoyable film though.

I dont think it is that film becasue it starts of with a white man and was not made in the 50's.

I know that the reason they survived is because they were on the verge of death (overdose in the bedroom) when there was a apocolypse thats why they were the only ones on the planet.

I am pretty sure this was made during the 70's maybe early 80's.

Plus there was a sex scene (nudity) in the movie.

I can ever so slighty recall some kind of nuclear station (where the sex scene took place)

I pride myself as a movie buff but I can for the life of me remember this film

Cool_Hobbit is there by any chance a gang in this movie that ride along on bikes?.

From reading your first post this movie rings abell with me & for some reason a gang riding around on bikes rings a bell.

Looks like a really interesting film. I haven't seen it, but I really like those "last person on Earth" type films - it's a must-see for me now. Thanks.
