The only foods that should be eaten with their fingers are asparagus and watercress, and not pizza or chips.
What do you think about people eating with their fingers?

Why is this in the V&V sec?

I don't have a problem with people eating with their hands. It really does not bother me. I don't personally eat pizza or chips, although it is common practice for someone eating those foods to use their hands, I don't find a problem with them doing that. If I was eating pizza or chips I would probably do the same, maybe use a fork for the chips, depending on where I am or how I am feeling I guess. Why does it bother you so much that other's eat with their hands?

some people have different styles of eating their food. it's more like a cultural thing. personally, it doesn't bother me a bit. btw i heard food tastes better when is eaten with bare hand. maybe you should try.

Funny, but I think eating asparagus and watercress with your fingers is rude. I have no problem with eating traditional finger foods with my gingers - crackers, chips, raw veggies in dip, tacos, burritos, sandwiches, veggie burgers, corn on the cob, casadillas, fruit, dried cranberries, nachos, breads, muffins... I guess I eat more with my fingers then I realized.

As long as people wash their hands I have no problem with eating with fingers.

I generally have no problem when people eat with their fingers, as long as it's in a casual or culturally appropriate environment (and as long as hands are washed first!). Food like the sandwich was invented for the sole purpose of not needing utensils to eat. I went to an Ethiopian restaurant a few months ago where the whole meal is eaten with your hands, they didn't even give us silverware.

Of course, in a nice restaurant or when eating food not designed to be finger food, I consider the proper use of utensils to be important and a sign of good manners.

For me, it's entirely situational. Sometimes it's perfectly acceptable to eat with your hands, sometimes it's not.

How do you eat chips with a fork or spoon? That would look kinda ridiculous...I eat Pizza with my hands....It takes less time and its yummyer

Doesn't bother me in the slightest.

"The only foods that should be eaten ..." Sweeping generalizations so often make one seem ignorant or ethnocentric.

The list would have to also include tacos, nachos, vol au vents, finger sandwiches, bhajji, veggie tartlets, crudite, samosas, poi, petits fours, and the vast array of cuisine which is served on-a-stick.

Eating pizza with a knife and fork seems to be quite popular with the elderly. Likewise, my octogenarian grandmother eats fries (chips) with a knife and fork- mostly because her fingers seem to have difficulty locating her mouth.
