I always get the bad luck and happen to have my period on the weeks when our class go on our camping trips(about 3 every year) and its so difficult! And there isn't very many bathrooms or time to go when were in the middle of working or activities and I have to pee alot in the first place. (I'm 14 by the way) I just dont know what to do cause we go swimming alot too. and I dont like pads or tampons really but i know im gonna have to wear a tampon anyways i just dont wanna be on it for the whole week while were on the camping trip. Sometimes when I go swimminf my period stops or at least for a few days is it bad to go swimming just to stop my period so i wont be on it on the camping trip? And i know my friend can help me out and back me up when I have to go to the bathroom at a bad time on the trip and im not embarassed of telling her or the only girl teacher I have but I always get it at bad times.
I mean one time our class went to Schlitterbahn( A water park) and i had it then too.
I just think its really difficult to be on it at this time.
What should I do?

There really is nothing to do. I'm 14, and i always get my period at the worst times possible as well. Nothing can change when you will get your period unless you take birth control, because that usually minimizes your period to a couple of days. I would not recommend that to you though, because if you're 14, you shouldn't be having sex, and you shouldn't need birth control. I take it only for the shorter periods. Ask your parent/guardian about it. And as for the camping trip, just make sure you have plenty of pads for sleeping and tampons for swimming. Even though you don't like it, you're a young woman, and your period is inevitable.

Well,

The only way that I know of controlling your period is to go on the birth control pill. Once you are taking the pill your periods become regulated and if need be, you can skip a period by taking a continuous amount of pills.

My advice to you would be to plan a visit with your family doctor or if you are more comfortable, a doctor at your local family planning clinic. There you can discuss getting on the best birth control pill for yourself and your options at missing a period occasionally for trips such as your class camping trips.

Hope that helps!
