I Think I Have Sinusitis. I Am Miserable!!!

I am not sure if I have sinusitis but all of my symptoms are strongly leaning towards it.
About a week and a half ago I had a sore throat for about 4 days then just like the beginning of every spring, or right before spring my allergies started acting up so I didn't think anything of it when I got a cough, runny nose and sneezing. Now almost two weeks later I can't breathe out of either nostril, I am constantly blowing my nose, at least 30 times a day and its a thick green discharge and it's also going down into my lungs causing me to cough it up also. I can walk outside sometimes and it will temporarily clear up and I can breathe out of both nostrils for a few minutes. I take hot showers and use a steam humidifer that helps some but why wont this go away?
We just moved into a new home and for the first week weekends it was nothing but cleaning and a lot of dust and I was out in the cold alot moving and taking stuff out to the garbage. I'm sure that had something to do with it. But if it is sinusitis how long till it clears up or what home treatments can I do to help it clear up. I wake up first thing in the morning and its horrible, I can't breathe, my nose is completely clogged, my chest is congested from it draining into my lungs all night while I sleep, I am so miserable.

You can try using a nette pot. It was
once on opeah..great for allergies. It's in most major pharmacies or online.oil of oreganol p73 is a great item too. Three drops under tongue a few times a day then drink water (hot). You can get a product called xclear nasal spray..use all three.it should help..sinuses take a while.if your
mucous turns dark green and u have a fever then a doctor visit would be a good idea.

Sinus rinse (like NeilMed) might really help - along with a humidifier in your bedroom. If the green discharge keeps up it may be a sinus infection and you'd need to see a doctor.

If you have a green discharge, you have a sinus infection that needs an antibiotic to clear up. Your best bet is to get this taken care of before it gets any worse. I would also suggest that you take an antihistamine to help dry up all of the junk. But first get into the doctor...
