I think i have ADHD but my mum wont let me get tested for it she says im just a normal 14 year old girl, i took an online test to try and settle my mind but it came back saying i should go and see a doctor, i answered it truthfully and honnestly and i really wanna go get it sorted, im finding it really hard to concentrate in class and im starting my GCSE's this year and really wanna do well but im always finding myself daydreaming or not being able to focuss and i cant keep still and im pretty much always hyper and i have most of the other symptoms, how do i get my mum to take me to get tested? I know i could go on my own and they wouldnt be able to tell my mum but then if i do get prescribed something then i have to be over 16 to pick it up dont i? please help?
thanks :) x

You are a normal 14 year old girl. At that age, we daydream and can't concentrate. Being 'hyper' is due to hormones running wild during your teen years.
Try to curb your thoughts away from thinking you have a mental disorder, and just enjoy your teen years. Try to meditate, concentrate on eating right and exercising.

Hope this helps. Stressing won't help. Always be open and honest with your mother, i am sure she knows what is best for you.
