i think i have a sycamore tree inmy garden and i need some good info?

i believe the tree in my garden is a sycamore. the leaves are quite big with five sort of fingers, they stems are a redish colour,the seed pods have those helecopter type things on them and the trees are sprouting up all over my garden, what id like to know is how deep do they root as one is about 8ft from my house. what is the nearest it should be to the house and how big can they grow to.thank you.
