I think i blew my head gasket. Please help. 81 Yamaha DT175?

my friends had been riding it all day, then i rode it and it started to cut out and was very weak. Would barely run after that, wouldnt rev at all. I had a look at the top of the head and you can see fuel and oil bubbling out of the side. Im sure this is a head gasket right? what are the chances of a cracked head? Also when installing the new gasket what are some things i should know when doing it and how tight to i tighten the head bolts and how can i prevent it from happening again? Thank you.

head gaskets are easy to change, just make sure you get the torque specs. You will need a torque wrench and a manual for your bike, just make sure all the bolts are within the torque range the manual calls for, its very important.

i'd take it to a mechanic. I do as much of my bike maintainance and repairs as i can and i wouldn't try to tackle this on my own. you don't want to screw up your valves when you are trying to change out a gasket or investigate into the problem. Not to mention you really need to get the bolts to the right tightness. I'm guess you don't have a torque wrench..?

Go buy a workshop manual - everything you need to know is in there.Did you do a compression test before you pulled the head off?Could be just a carby or plug problem - or overheating.

unlikely, the head gasket is copper

EDIT: Why did I get a "thumbs down"?
and Chris H said it could be problem with the "Valves"?
I know a 81 Yamaha DT175 is a 2 stroke engine that has NO VALVES! and I get a thumbs down?
