I had a debilitating headache two weeks ago that left me unable to walk with coordination. I also had severe joint/muscle pain, so I stumbled into the hospital right across the street. I tested positive for Mononucleosis, so they gave me fluids and 1g of liquid Tylenol. (they took a nasal swab for the flu test but said there was close to no chance it would teat positive). I woke up the next morning feeling great with no signs of any illness, but received a call from the hospital saying I tested positive for the Flu, too. Since then I have had no symptoms other than headaches and fatigue. Could the two viruses have attacked each other? Did I just get tested for the flu before it could effect me due to the mono symptoms; if so, does that mean I know ahead of time that i am going to have the flu?
