I just wanted to give some hope to suboxone users out there concerning getting off of it when the time comes. I was prescribed suboxone because I couldn't stand the horrible withdrawals from oxycontin addiction. I tapered off of suboxone in one week taking 16mg, 8mg, 4mg, 2mg, 1mg, 1mg, .5mg. I felt no withdrawal symptoms to speak of whereas trying to taper off of oxycontin left me a shaking crying sweating mess. It isn't bad at all getting off of the suboxone if you haven't been taking it for very long. You really aren't trading one addiction for another; suboxone just takes away the wRAB and lets you get your life back. My only regret is having a gigantic bottle of suboxone that cost me $85 bucks that I have no use for. I haven't had any pill of any sort for over a week now and I feel great! Good luck all.
