I switched schools for a year and transferred back,how do I regain popularity?

I thought when I transferred I would get my popularity back strait like that but I just found out it followed me because an friend of my enemy started earlier this year but how am I to go about popularity wars in case once I started back up in fall,if the person is still clueless if I was popular or not.
