I swallowed a sharp, cooked rib bone splinter about 2 inches in length...

...lastnight accidently? it kinda scraped my throat going down not painfully though, but i continued eating and about 20 minutes after eating i felt a small amount of pain in my gut.

this was on saturday night, it is now sunday night and i have eaten plenty since and also used the toilet about an hour ago,

i still feel a little as though it could be scraping my intestines because i have a dull sharp pain in the lower portion of abdomen, but i cant say whether the splinter has caused this very mild irritation.

i want to avoid any issues with this, could you shed some knowledge on the subject?
 
well you could go to an ER, they will probably shoot an 3 view abdomen xray and see if the radiologist/ER doc sees any bone where it shouldn't be. keep an eye out for any blood in your stool, or any unexplained swelling. probably didn't do you any favors to swallow that, but hopefully you stomach should have taken care of the sharp edges with stomach acid.

Though if you can live with it until the morning it might be easier for you take care of it outpatient with your primary care or a walk-in. since that would more that likely be a lot cheaper.
