You cant fight a rebellion or a guerrilla warefare type situation with any real success. Look at our astounding levels of being unsuccessful in Iraq. Isreal was doing what it needed to prior to its invasion launched today.
 
We overthrew a dictator, established a democratic state in the middle east, the people of Iraq are stepping up to run their own country. This kind of shit takes time, too. But obviously the media will only tell you the negative.
 
You mean dessimated a countries infrastructure, made 35% of its population flee in fear of their lives, and inciting a religious civil war we are powerless to prevent. Freedom is a beautiful thing..
 
In the three years it has accomplished absolutly nothing of real value. It has eliminated a realistically harmless dictator and replaced him with dozens of religious fundamentalist extrmists clammoring to be the next Osama.
 
Iraq is no where near "established" as a democratic state. The country is pretty much being run by martial law. And my perception of the country isn't from the media, but friends who have come back from serving.
