i still have not seen Avatar

I've not seen Avatar either and have no plans to go see it. I'm sure it's a good film with great SFX, but it doesn't appeal to me.

Haven't seen it and, after seeing assorted clips and trailers, have no intention whatsoever of seeing it - the two main problems are Cameron and his clich

That's my problem. I do expect my brain to be engaged - especially by someone like Cameron. he used to make excellent movies - Terminator 1 was/is a classic and IMHO Aliens 2 was even better - probably the most complete action movie I have ever seen - but after that, all Cameron has done is make spectacles. His movies are firework displays now, and you don't get much character development in a catherine wheel.....

In my opinion I didn't think much of it, I think the film's pure eye candy has hypnotized a lot of people, but when you get to the bottom of all the cash, all the supercomputer effects and the 3D....you've basically got A half-baked cross between Stargate, The Smurfs and Captain Planet....with nothing original to say.
