i want to see it, but every time i wanna go and see it something comes up, was going to see it monday then freinRAB cancelled on me :( im thinking maybe im not meant to see it but know i have to if you know what i mean :o

everyones has said its fantastic, the best etc but i know it probaly wont live up to the hype.

Aren't you lucky??

Thats 2 and a half hrs of my life gone..... FOREVER!!

wait till either Star Wars or Jurassic park are made 3d- Im sure they'll be much more worth it...

Whereas everyone I know who has seen it has said its a crap story where very little happens and if it wasn't for the special effects it is unlikely it would ever have been made. That is why I definitely aren't rushing to the cinema to see it.

Neither have I! On the one hand I think I might be missing out on a monumental time for cinema, but on the other I'd rather just watch Pocahontas again.

Its a very good movie, the storyline isn't as bad as people make it out to be but its a fun excape for 2 1/2 hours, i say go. I've seen it twice and wouldn't hesitate going a third time either.

I havent seen Avatar and have no particular desire to either. I'm sure it has great special effects but it really isn't my cup of tea.

Belter of a movie, whatever anyone says. Having said that, go see it yourself and make up your own mind. No one else's opinion should mean more to you than your's.

I haven't seen it either. I must be getting old or something. I love going to the cinema but my son dragged me to see Transformers 2 last year and I've lost my appetite for all-SFX-and-little-story blockbusters.
And reading some of the opinions on here, I don't think I'll bother seeing this one.

Neither have I, but I'd like to. Purely because if I end up watching it when it comes out on DVD later this year and end up liking/loving it then I will be kicking myself that I didn't go and see it in 3D at the cinema.

Avatar was brilliant. I went in expecting to be disappointed, but I ended up loving it.
If I had a 3D cinema nearby, I'd probably go and see it again.

I haven't seen it either. I'm curious about it, but not wetting my pants in anticipation. It might well be a brilliant film that I'm misisng out on but the hype is rather off-putting, to be honest.

THats basically what I would say I thought the plot wasn't up the time length or use of SFX though my wife loved it and some of my workmates have already seen it more than twice. :o

Ha!

How accurate that review is!

I think its OK to view it as a big CGI extravaganza, but beyond that the plot is derivitive and predictable. I dont know how anyone can find the PLOT of this film "amazing"

... and can I say Dances with Wolves is a better film overall?

Brilliant film, personally both myself, my wife and son loved the story too so don't let people slagging the story off put you off, it's all subjective anyway. It was amazing to see it on the IMAX screen too.
