M Mickey Mouse Spears New member Jul 1, 2009 #2 A citrus-based solvent like "Goo Gone" should do the trick, as well as any wood polish, like Old English. If that doesn't work, try nail polish remover, but first test it in an inconspicuous place, in case it removes the paint.
