That has to be the dumbest thing i hear from some blacks. It's as if you're black and have an education it's being "white". If that's that the case what is considered being black. I guess acting ignorant is "being black".Why do these ignorant folks say this?

you just said it.ignorant.give them a little slack, though. blackmail is a federal offense. how are black males supposed to handle that one.

They want you to end up in prison with lots of children spread everywhere, and STDs.

i guess they see you trying to better yourself by acting like "the white man" or something dont sweat it, just ignore them ^_^

Some black people have low expectations for their own people which is sad.

Who do we blame society?B.E.T?MTV?Music? there is no such thing as "acting white" there is no such thing as "acting black" but I got a better riddle for you why is it that so many black people think that speaking proper english and wanting to learn is "acting white"theyre not better we're not better do act anyway you want to dont slap a race on it though.

because they are stupid misguided folks just smile and nod like foreigners do OR tell them to stop acting like negros if you catch my drift

probably the ones u talked to were ghetto. most blacks work hard for an education in my school and they are the ones in the tutoring centers more than others. i wouldnt assume they are acting white. cuz whites are not exactly the highest of achievers when it comes to education.

I've had non-Black people say that to me too. I used to chat online and if I called someone I met they would ALWAYS ask "are you sure your black? You don't sound black at all." So I totally understand how tiresome it can be for you to have people question you, when your merely speaking in an eductated matter. What I don't understand is why people only say that to black people. Nobody ever says it about other non-White people who speak proper.
