Me and the buyer both signed a piece of paper saying..

"I, "the buyer" am purchasing a 1994 Toyota from the "owner"
I am buying it on March-13-2009 at 8:30pm. The car is sold as is. NO Warranty.

Signed by: BUYER
Signed by: SELLER

I have the piece of paper and its signed.

It has been 21 days, and now he is suing me because the car leaks!
He test drove the car and everything. He never asked me if he could take it to the mechanic or if it had any problems. He is also suing me for the cement in his house because there is oil leak "everywhere."

I think i'm going to win as long as i got the paper saying SOLD AS-IS, NO WARRANTY and SIGNED by the BUYER!!

Whats your advise? Thank you.

you should be good, even without the paper bc verbal agreements are fine too, they didnt ask if anything was wrong or anything they jsut bought it, over here in jersey we have the lemon law to protect us but i dunno where your from or anything but dotn worry about it.

you will win. I bet you knew it leaked oil though. I hate a$$holes who lie when selling cars. A little while back when i was in college, I had almost no money and needed a car so bad and bought this old honda accord, cause the guy told me it had no problems. I told him to please tell me if there was and he said he was the first owner and he knew there was no problems. I didn't take it to the mechanic because I did not have time and I knew the owner wouldn't let me since he told me there was people waiting to see the car. I bought the thing and it totally died 3 weeks later and needed a couple thousand to repair. I went back to the guy and he said you signed "as-is."

I wish you will lose, even though I know you will not.
