I saw Paranormal Activity last night..

I don't see the fuss!

Sure it was creepy, but nowhere near as bad as what people are making out.
I glanced around my shoulder a few times but I certainly didn't have any trouble sleeping. lol

Now I dont do horrors or scary films so I would NEVER see this. However, I do get a bit fed up with ignorant people saying they dont believe people cant sleep after it or saying it wasnt scary and cant understand what the fuss is about.
RAB everyone is different. Everyones brains are wired up differently. Some people are scared of spiders, some can have them crawling all over them.
Just because 1 person doesnt find it scary doesnt mean another person wont find it the scariest thing ever.
For someone to say they dont see the fuss, is just showing ignorance about the fact we are all different.

cant wait to see it!

problem is, it opens here in NZ in a few weeks time - but i leave this merry land to return home next week, so will miss it!!

OP - i recommend just downloading some porn. that should help;)

Went to see this tonight.

I thought it was quite good, but I couldn't get "into it", because there were some inconsiderate teenagers in the auditorium, who were constantly talking and laughing.

I think the film would have worked better if I'd watched it on DVD at home. In the dark. Alone. With the surround sound amp cranked up!

I watched the Blair Witch Project, Cloverfield and [REC] - which are similar in style (found shaky camera footage) - at home and thought they were more effective for this reason.

It is a lot better at home. Far more effective and you don't get the arsehole teenagers whispering and taking the piss out of it to make themselves seem "hard" in front of their frienRAB.

In my screening there were these annoying 16(ish) year olRAB that kept shouting "oh, for f*cks sake!" everytime it cut to the shot of the bedroom. Shouldn't they have been expecting this since the trailer and pretty much all the advertising fouses on these bedroom scenes...

Don't be put off seeing things like [REC] at the cinema though. I actually saw [REC] at the cinema in the middle of the day back before it was popular. Cineworld had put it on one of the tiny screens with all the comfy seats and tables, and it was pretty much me and my friend and about 6 other people watching it in complete silence. I loved it.

It's generally the mainstream films that chavs manage to annoy in. A moment of high amusement this year was when a bunch of chavs came to watch 'Let The Right One In' and walked out 5 minutes into it mumbling "can't believe i've paid to watch sumfin with f*ckin' subtitles!". Ignorant tw*t. lol.

Watched tonight. Thought it was a little weak but fairly tense in parts.

Bad ending.

I think i'd like to watch it at home to be sure of it though.

On a side note.. People need to behave in Cinemas... Starting with being quiet. It should be like a Church with the Lights off.

:)
