TARP money to go to small businesses. Will that workout like it did for Chrysler, GM, AIG, et al? GM became "Obama Motors". They were ordered to fire Rick Wagoner. Will Joe's Mini-Mart become Obama's Mini-Mart? How many small businesses will take money not realizing that Obama will then tell them how to run their companies? What will the owners do when Obama decides to fire them? After all, he knows how to run a business better than they do. Is this another step in govt. control? If a small business does take TARP money and wants to pay it back, will Obama refuse it like he did to many banks? Thus keeping control?

Obama would best do what is good for all of us: Make employees tax-deductible for small businesses. It would go something like this: The more personnel hired, the smaller the proportion of general business taxes and income taxes are to be paid.

I am against Obama doing what you describe above. TARP is a conundrum that never would have happened if financial deregulation had not happened in the 90s.
