I bought a salvaged car with no air bags, so i bought the two air bags, clock spring, two sensors and the module. I took it to a body shop and they installed everything and the light stil hasnt gone off. What do I do so that the light goes off and the new air bags I installed work?

chances are that the body shop did not clear the codes after they installed the new air bags. They have to shut the light off after the repairs--it won't go off by itself.

there is a 2 pin connector under the steering column that is used to clear the code without the Honda scan tool. your body shop should know how to do that. take the car back to them and ask them to clear the codes to shut the light off.

if the light does come back on after they erase the codes then there is still a problem with the SRS system. they can use the same connector to get the "flash" code that will tell them what's wrong.

my guess is they just didn't clear the code but who knows. Take it back tothe installer and start there.

if you need information on how to clear the code using the two pin connector email me and I'll give you the procedure.

hope that helps

you will need to get the codes read as to what might be the concern, the cars had seat belt pre-tensioners in them and they can cause the light to be on also

my highschool autoshop has a computer system you plug in under the dash of just about anycar made after like 1990 also autozone has a system too so you can try them or take it to a honda dealer or a local mechanic like midas.

contact the manufacturers service rep he may have a code you need to enter to save the project, or know a way to solve your dilemma
