Sony Xplod XS-R5743 5" x 7"speakers

190 watt peaker power.

Replacing stock 5'' x 7''s in a 1998 Ford Escort SE

Wired and installed correctly.
 
What was running them before? Stock speakers are considerably more efficient than aftermarket speakers. Sure, aftermarket has the ability for way more bass reproduction, but they take considerably more power to make bass than the stock ones.
 
the reason is probably because they are xplod speakers.. honestly sony's are cheap and usually arent much better then stock, that is probably why you dont notice much of a difference
