...keyboard to the computer. Help? I just bought an Akai LPK25 Midi keyboard from sweetwater. It's functioning perfectly, aside from the fact that there is a small but noticeable lag between when I press the key and when the sound comes out. This can make composing music on my laptop (which is what I bought it for) extremely difficult. I would have bought a standard MIDI keyboard (as in non-usb) or a firewire one, but that would have been much more difficult.
Has anyone got any suggestions? I'm running Windows 7 on an Asus laptop with a core 2 duo, 4GB of DDR2 RAM, and an nVidia GT 220M, and I'm composing on to Reason 4, if that makes any difference.
