Okay, I really want to be a Poet when I grow up. I find it so beautiful about the way things can be just like a story except they rhyme. And the way anyone and everyone can express themselves with Poetry and show their feelings. I also really like the little cute poems like the ones I have already written. But I really want to know if I am good enough to be a Poet. Or not? (By the way I am only 10 years old so don't laugh if you don't like it please)
This is my first one, and it's about Birds. Here it is:
Birds
Some birds are strong,
some birds are tall,
but who’s the greatest,
of them all?
Large Eagles fly,
high in the sky
when they don't even need to try.
And then there’s the penguins,
so very cute they are
but its sad to say,
that they will never fly far.
Then the tiniest sparrow,
is the smallest of them all,
but does God really watch them at all?
You'd probably think he doesn't, but oh yes he does!
He cares for everything,
even us.
Now when you finish this poem,
try not to condemn,
for all birds are special,
each one of them.
I hope you liked it. And this is my second one, it's about a little boy who loves to write stories. Here it is:
I love writing stories,
It’s ever so fun,
Because when I’ve finished,
It feels like I’ve only just begun!
I like to write about horses and knights,
Castles and fairy-tales,
And Turkish Delights.
I love it when I get my paper and pen,
And write my story all over again!
