I really value education, but am debating if getting an MBA is worth the time and...

...expense.? I was really thinking about getting an MBA, but have been advised not to if its not from a top level business school. Any truth to this? I really want to buy a house in the next year, and being immersed in grad school will really limit my income. I have heard that many people who embark on a business venture for themselves, don't have an MBA, let alone a college degree. I was at least going to obtain a CFP, and CFA. Thanks
