Unless you have an in-depth knowledge of electronics, you'd be best off having it repaired. Especially if the pre-amp stage of the circuitry (transistors) is fried.
MOSFET transistors need to be handled with care as they are static sensitive and can be destroyed by static charge just by handling. Handling these requires a static strap.
Some boards utilize surface mount technologies and this make them even more difficult to work on.
This also requires good knowledge of soldering, a technique that takes some time to learn to do properly using heat sinking and avoiding burning the board or shorting out leads on components with solder.
Double sided PC boards are the most difficult to work on and is most likely what you have.
