pre*** can cause pregnancy...especially if its around a females' area...and usually, if he is aroused enough, there would be pre***
i doubt gaining weight would greatly effect when you'll get you're period, so it would most likely be due to stress...
nutrition could also be a factor, if you don't have enough nutrients, your body might delay your period or skip it...for example, not having enough iron in your blood...or other vital things your body needs (thats why people who are anorexic don't get their periods, just saying)

It could be possible that some pre-ejaculation could have entered your vagina. To be safe take a pregnancy test to make sure.

You also might be late and the stress of the problem could be causing it to come a bit later than normal.

Maybe your pregaant but im not sure because if you had sex when your period ended i do not think you can get pregant but again i am no doctor so maybe you should take a test to be on the safe side. Or maybe its stress somtimes when i am stressed and worried my period will come ealry or late.

Ok Here is an edit to my answer. I think its stress your 17 and im sure your a senior and im sure finals are coming up so maybe its the stress of school, job friends etc.

I'm 17 years old and have had my period for about 4 years now so I know it isnt irregular. I do also have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) for over a year, but ever since my diagnosis I've had regular periods. I've gained about 10-15 pounds since my last period (April 15th) and my period lasted until April 21st although it was light. My boyfriend and I fooled around right after my period ended and he only had his *member* around vulva but we've never actually had sex. (I dont know if there was pre cum) I was expecting my period yesterday and show no signs of having it today.

I was wondering if because of my weight gain and the stress about not having my period is whats making it not come?

Please help me, only serious answers. Thanks.
We've never had sex, it was just around my area. He never went in.

if he didn't ejaculate on/in your vagina,
then you are definitely not pregnant.
even if you're just fooling around with your boyfriend,
be sure to use protection, because
even if you have finished your period,
you still might be ovulating.

if the long, irregular periods are bothering you,
you should consult a doc and consider birth controls.

weight gains/losses are pretty normal growing up.
if it's so severe to the point where you have to
shop all the time,
you should definitely go see a doctor
